To control a single PC is difficult enough. To build up a correct, efficient and safe network consisting of several computers, server racks, routers, switches, printers, W-LAN access points and cabling is a science in itself. And on your golf course even many more systems have to run within the network – special software or special tools have to work harmoniously together.
The ordering system for example, which is used by your staff in the restaurant and wirelessly sends orders from patio outside directly to the kitchen, bar and updates the financial resource planning system simultaneously. Notebooks, home office access of your management, touchscreen facilities used to sell green fees at the reception or to administer a members request are all integrated into the network. PDA’s, mobile smart phones, Blackberry’s and other internet devices are used for real-time scoring while tournaments are being played or simply just accessing the net to book a round of golf too need to be connected to your network . This also applies for cashier printers and handhold scanners or the different kinds of card readers, which members use to get access to the course, to rental equipment, locker rooms or other areas. Due consideration should be taken when making a decision as to whom you will request to do the necessary hardware installation, seamless device interaction is completely fundamental to the operation and effective working of the system. Understanding the hardware requirements, keeping in mind current hardware, is also a very important factor; we have a detailed list of hardware requirements and will support the club in the purchase process from initial choice to installation. In most cases we will, once installation is complete, use the services of a local IT partner to do ongoing hardware support in conjunction with the remote Albatros software support. In the event of an immediate emergency we are then able to rectify the problem swiftly. If you leave the installation to us all that is required on your behalf is to turn it on and start.
